Master of Puppets
So one day I opened my eyes, and saw the strings.
Strings, attached to me. Hands, feet, arms, legs, everywhere.
One small movement, and I move correspondingly. One jerk, and I twitch violently against my will.
You, you're the one holding the other ends of the strings. And I would gladly be your puppet, moving as you command, doing as I'm told. Only my head is free, and most of the time it's focused on what the rest of me is doing.

ok, so i managed to wake up early enough to get to sch at 8am. then have the fun-but-a-bit-random guitar meeting. and then go for er...breakfast? 2nd breakfast? whatever we went to eat.
by this point i have totally zoned out. brain working just fast enough to still understand what's going on. food helps, but still totally dead.
then went home
started doing maths
and fell asleep after the 3rd qn.

ok the past few days have been kinda...fast.
lessee... a whole load of idiots came to my house to "study maths". yeah. right. so they were screwing around with each other's msn accounts, and (big surprise) mine when i wasn't looking. no, really, if any of you happened to get some totally random conversation from me on wed i just say first: IT WASN'T ME. anyway eventually we got off the comp and actually studied for a while. so that day wasn't completely wasted on shouting "OI GET OFF THE COMP".
then thurs! (and fri). the Night of Hedonism 2 :D totally fun stuff including: zach's interview with some random ppl, studyi-- err, reading at the library, much much more :P ok dinner was just the bomb. 7 hungry guys sit down at a table, order enough to cover the entire table and finished it in 10min. we have photos to prove it too! hehe.
night! a LOT of soldat (could hear the whirring of the chainsaws when i went to shower), then we watched 300 D: quotable quote: "eh fast forward through all this boring political stuff lah, we just want to see the fights".
risk! there are 3 main rules in risk, realmein style:
1) you must kill daniel first.
2) anyone who allies with daniel shld also be eliminated.
3) the game can end after daniel dies, and the world can live happily ever after.
think of it as a special mission.
then after that degen and sleep. so i slept relatively early (4am? dunno) while the rest talked crap, emo'd to each other and suffered in the freezing cold aircon room.
breakfast = good. enough said.
well not much else especially interesting after that.
things learnt!
1) zach is gay. but very funny. zach i know you're gay, don't deny it :)
2) mau never, ever stops talking crap.
3) ben is just too fast for any of us to catch up to. a gap just opens between us when we walk together.
4) daniel is truly the saigang god. we have witnessed him at work.
5) mike's stomach really IS a bottomless pit. makan, makan, makan, ...
6) booray uses his hands for only 4 things. playing comp, reading books, eating and scratching his ****s. wtf prs booray it's just disgusting.

today we worked. and celebrated dan's birthday. more on that on realmein.
a day with the realmein is never boring. the amount of funny/stupid/zomg-wtf-that-is-damn-lame comments is just amazing. and i got bored, so i tried to learn to play mau's left-handed guitar. had some degree of success, though i couldn't really play G well :(
and all you realmein really muz come and sabo me arh. "but you are t3h drawer!!!" everything dump on me to saigang and draw -.-
k lah so u guys helped out also. it was fun, especially some of the scenes :D
random comment: freedom fighters is interesting. just that it becomes pointless after you have what, 10 squad members or so.
random comment 2: 2 14" pizzas are more worth it than 4 10" pizzas. really. do some maths and compare the prices. damn we got cheated.
random comment 3: rubbidan comes up with the same rubbi comments the rest of us realmein do, only in about 1/4 the time taken.
random comment 4: dan claims that he is "ONE WITH THE FLOOR". yeah we lol-ed and rofl-ed and lmao-ed at that one for a while. really the someone trying to camouflage himself with the floor......

We have discovered the literal meaning of "teh bing". Emphasis on "bing". mau ordered teh bing from some random small shop when we were out. he got a paper cup that was stuffed full of ice, then they poured tea in to fill the gaps.
i think he finished it in about 5sec lol.
oh and happy birthday dan!

from bintan. ccal camp.
Well it was quite fun. Although i had to leave 1 day early for SMO and thus @!@?#><#%!@#$% missed campfire and kayaking.
so...camp. did some fun stuff, jungle trail, rafting, some random team bonding stuff. trekked through some jungle trail using some funky GPS unit thingy to navigate. we didn't really get lost though, so it was kind of just walking around :P
raft...well...our raft was still floating at the end :D even though the barrels flipped and our raft turned into a submarine. still, we got to where we needed to go and back.
The food they provided was actually quite good. rice, chicken/fish, some veg, even a piece of fruit. was kinda expecting worse.
ohhhh but the rain on the 2nd day.....:D
i was actually trying to dry my shoes too :(
then the sky just opened up and someone in heaven flushed the toilet.
surprisingly our tent survived completely intact. the insides were dry too D:
yeah actually not really much else to say about camp, because i missed the most fun parts ie. CAMPFIRE and KAYAKING. damn.
oh, and ngiam is just totally champion :D

farewell! ok so it was kind of pathetic, but nvm hope you guys enjoyed it anyway. i really do appreciate the effort put in by the leaving exco, they've done a lot of good stuff. the pizza, drinks, random muffins and jelly and whatnot just don't quite make it up.
then a nice, if slightly subdued dinner with some meinly friends. all tired liao, but nothing stops mau from making rubbi statements.

Today, I was going home on the bus. But there was also some crazy guy who just randomly started talking damn loudly and dissing random ppl. And then started doing weird stuff like conducting and singing damn loudly.

they think back about what fun/interesting/bad stuff has happened today.

The problem is that I get to the 3rd step and get stuck, becos it's so depressing.

suffice to say there have been ups and downs.
SYF was...good and bad. on one hand, yeah gold is nice. on the other hand, this is like deja vu. and i honestly believe we played well, no, we PERFORMED well, and had a good time doing it.

was walking around downstairs earlier this morning. suddenly realised that if you ignore the 10-story-high blocks, this place is really quite like some nature reserve. there're plants pretty much everywhere, you can hear all those random insects making a lot of noise, and u have stuff running all over the place like squirrels, dragonflies, this lizard. Even saw this little bird which had a really nice yellow mid with a blue neck.

Good Friday

didn't really do much on good friday though.
but on sat. hehe.
pool with some friends.
somehow I missed when I was supposed to break. laughter ensued.
then mike's turn to break. AND HE JUMPED THE BALL OVER ALL THE OTHERS HAAAAHAHAHA.
this is why you don't play pool with a table that is slightly tilted.
hmmm went to mandai crematorium today. was just stoning around waiting for my relatives to show up and i watched these 2 kids play pepsi-cola. you know, the jumping game where u gotta hit the other person's feet. made me think back about the days I used to play that. man, things have REALLY changed since then.
syf coming soon. somehow i think this time it's going to be worse than the last one. cmon ppl wake up.
ok it's dinner time. bleah. still, gotta eat.

You know, I was just thinking about how much of a pain in the ass school was.
Then I suddenly realised that things only go downhill from here.
shit.
Was reading all those blogs about how we should live life to its fullest and enjoy every second of it.
kinda hard to do when there's not much to enjoy. A few things, here and there, are really really nice, but everything else is........just bad.
WAIT didn't i swear to stop being cynical some time ago. hmm. whoops.
ok shall bury myself in other things and not think such negative thoughts.

zombie
There is something wrong with my biological clock.
I have this insanely loud alarm that makes sure I don't oversleep (usually) on weekdays.
But on weekends I don't even hear it. I just sleep on through all the way to about 10-11am, which is when I get kicked out of bed by my parents.
I then spend the rest of the weekend in this constant state of lethargy, eventually sleeping most of the day away then trying to rush hw at night.
Hmmmmmmmm.

went out with realmein, for some totally unknown reason, to woodlands. which isn't near any of our houses. hmmmmmmmmmm.
watch mau sneakily charge his phone in the library, then lunch, watch zach try to find nice slippers that don't scream I AM GAY, watch him fail, then crash dan's house.
play RISK.........and guitar. and dawn of war. and cards. and a lot of stuff. basically slacked around lah. as mike put it very well, "this is what holidays should be like."
Then that nice claypot dinner stuff :D thx arh

camp + O2
OKAY haven't blogged in a while. Was at guitar camp.
Before that! got O2! which was pretty fun lah, since my OG decided to just dao the EA and stone in j8. Play cards, play hide-and-seek O_o, then me + koay play cards while the rest of the OG take... strange/disturbing/fun photos, however you want to look at it. And yongqian arh, pls dun sing the batch song in THAT way until the entire OG wonders why we both keep laughing.
And then nao, guitar camp! -_- first day got energy, so everyone damn enthu, then second day everyone died D: but overall fun! go through all the usual camp activities, station games whatnot, and of course play guitar lah. Then me and daniel crashed the HH inter-og captain's ball thing. played 1 game with some og mates yay :D
Totally unrelated, but I've just suddenly consciously realised how zach makes his posts so long. He talks about a damn lot of rubbish that most people leave out. ppl talk about interesting/meaningful stuff that happened to them in the day or pour out their emo souls for the world to read, he writes stuff like:
"i went to chill with linky."
liek, wow.

Spending your day half-blind because your specs broke.
How?
linky sits on the ground.
linky takes specs off, rubs his eye.
linky places specs gently onto the ground.
linky feels glass drop into his palm.
linky looks down.

linky is more than a little surprised.
So I spent the rest of the day walking around like a blind bat. a blind bat without wings. a blind bat without wings that has this parasite glued to it called benedict.

Imperfection
Time for another late night random post
Have you ever felt that you were inadequate?
That sinking feeling in your heart, if you have one, that you simply were not enough?
That you supposedly tried, but still could not reach what you wanted?
You really think it's because you didn't try hard enough?
No, I don't think so.
You fail, because deep down inside you are fundamentally flawed.
Something gnaws inside of you, disturbs you, impedes your progress in everything.
Something more specific?
SOME PPL *cough* struggle to "get a life", a social one, and constantly vex over how ppl don't interact much with them, or that they're not very popular. This is because they are imperfect; there are things about them that are so deeply rooted that they cannot change, and thus there are some things they simply cannot do.
SOME PPL *cough* constantly obsess over marks and grades and that stuff. They score lower than so-and-so-smart-alec, then get all worked up because they've "tried their very best" and "worked their ass off", and yet still get beaten. It's not because they didn't try hard enough, but some things simply are, and you can't change it.
We are all flawed on some level, no point denying it.
Guess it's just about how we hide these flaws and present that perfect side to the world.

Been quite a while since I've been really touched by a present, but there IS this one that I really like. Shows that not everyone is as lazy as me D:
Still, even the world decided to give me a present. A cut on my head. I walked into a lamp post and it said hi with its rusty knob-thing. Head meets rusty knob-thing, don't get along well and start a fight. Blood soon crashes the party. At this point I'm like "wtf there's blood on my hand." But anyway, seems to be fine now, and I have better things to think about.
Like CNY. and food. and sleep. hmm.
Guess it's time for sleep D:

sanity sanity
Jazz camp was so.......fun and........a little weird :P
Must see: Death metal cover of teletubbies + spongebob squarepants D:
Anyway.
realised it's kinda hard to play slower, more emo stuff on guitar when u're hanging around with smart ppl like zach and mao. You play 2 bars and then you laugh. -.-"
and......taking a nap + reading a nice book really takes your mind off things. things-that-are-not-fun. things-that-make-you-pissed-&-emo-and-are-bad-for-health. so. now i have something to do besides play guitar when i'm in that emo rage again D:

swing into the music
vertigo really is a nice song :D rediscovered it lurking around the depths of my comp known as "My Documents"
O level results tmr! Can practically feel all the tension of all the ppl getting nervous now D: All those ppl wishing each other good luck and stuff like that; not like it'll make a lotta difference now D: just gotta relax, sit tight and see how things go.
See whether us newbs need to relearn that language D:

RAGE RAGE ON
Man I have issues with anger management
Someone did something, uh, unpleasant, to say the least.
And right there I almost completely lost my cool. Only thing that stopped me from starting a fight and making a scene was that said someone wasn't alone. That, and those little annoying things called school rules.
BUT
No, I will not let some ass ruin my mood just because he's, well, an ass.
I WILL NOT LET MY RAGE RULE ME
okayz. other stuff.
Guitar! was pretty fun. SYF songs and all. Gotta hardcore mug it, but they're nice :D
Did a lot of random things. Mostly cos I was with ari D: singing weird songs, randomly playing slither cos we were in drop D, you get the idea.
And, the guitar publicity posters rock :D Really nice, imo, except THAT really lame one (don't worry, you'll find out soon)

cards, music and arm wrestling???
The taiti gods are fickle-minded indeed.
Somehow I always keep fluctuating from king to asshole, almost regardless of what kind of hand I get. Yet there are spectacular winning streaks and losing streaks, the most famous of which is the 20+ rounds of playing as asshole -.-

Let's discuss change!
Look at how all the ppl have changed since coming to JC. I know I've changed, for various reasons, but some ppl have gone totally, totally insane (that means you booray). Like, lost all common sense and suddenly made 180 degree turns in how they live their lives.
Some things don't change though :D
fuginn is the ultimate kampung fan......limped all the way to RI canteen and back just to take-away kampung and eat. without crutches. D:

A new blog!
Everyone's off watching a certain match, and I don't really feel like doing hw, so I looked at my old blog, considered for a while, and started a new one.
Feeling moody though. Deep down inside, that other half of me is laughing because he knows why, but I refuse to acknowledge it.
This will not do.
It is time to play more guitar to take my mind off things!
